Limited Edition Print - Nika Neelova, Untitled, 2013
Nika Neelova is a London-based artist whose sculptures weave reclaimed architectural elements into meditations on time, memory, and place. She calls her approach "reverse archaeology" — liberating discarded objects from their original purpose and reimagining what they carry.
For her etching at Il Bisonte, Neelova moved from three dimensions into two, exploring what happens to an object when it becomes a surface. The print is anchored by a quote from Jorge Luis Borges:
"This house is unparalleled, with countless repeating parts. Each place is another place. The house is as vast as the world — or rather, it is the world."
Borges' infinite house became her frame: a space where art, memory, and existence fold endlessly into one another.
