Limited Edition Print – Matheus Chiaratti, Lunch Poems, 2020
Matheus Chiaratti is a São Paulo-based artist whose multidisciplinary practice weaves together painting, textiles, photography, ceramics, and literature — romances, religious artefacts, and ornaments forming a singular pictorial world. He has shown at Mana Contemporary, Palazzo Monti, and Galeria Sancovsky.
"Southern Poet" takes Frank O'Hara's 1964 "Lunch Poems" as its starting point — specifically the book's cover, rendered with deep scratches and crooked letters. A personal and religious journey compressed into a single image, marked by the hand.
All proceeds support the Villa Lena Foundation.
