Limited Edition Print – Adeline de Monseignat, Moonkissed, 2014
Adeline de Monseignat is a German-born artist based in London, working across sculpture, installation, drawing, and video. Her practice draws on Magritte's subversion of the natural, Freud's concept of the Uncanny, and the work of Louise Bourgeois — filtered through her own personal experience. She has shown at Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Ronchini Gallery, and Honore Project, Paris.
On "Moonkissed," she writes: "Gently sunk in their mattress and wrapped in their bed sheets, my 'creatures' seem gently kissed by the peeking moonlight, while a grainy greyness invades the darker corners of their 'incubedroom.' This is a window into their quiet intimacy."
The drawing is also a proposal — "Moonkissed" is intended to one day become a three-dimensional work.
All proceeds support the Villa Lena Foundation.
