Jay One Ramier, is a prominent figure in French hip-hop and early European graffiti art. With his recent major exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo in 2022, Ramier's multidisciplinary practice resonates profoundly. A trailblazer in graffiti culture, he co-founded the notorious "Bad Boys Crew" in 1982 and became a rising star in the vibrant Parisian hip-hop scene of the ‘80s. From moonwalking alongside future icons to witnessing Paco Rabanne embrace rappers, b-boys, and poppers, Ramier's artistic journey evolved across mediums and through a dynamic kaleidoscope of artistic influences.
